Francis names priest to oversee abuse cases
Pope francis has named Mgr John Kennedy as head of the discipline section of the Congregation of the Doctrine of the Faith, the Vatican office processing abuse cases. Mgr Kennedy was an assistant to previous head Fr Miguel Funes Diaz, who left last year.
Priests ‘flee to forest’ to escape violence
Priests and Religious have “fled to the forest” to escape rising violence against the Church in some parts of the Congo, the country’s bishops have said. “Each day sees new killings,” they said.
